In July 2021, Henan Province suffered a large range of extreme and continuous heavy rainfall, which caused serious floods in Henan Province. Severe waterlogging occurred in Zhengzhou, Xinxiang, Hebi, Jiaozuo, Anyang and other cities. Base stations in many parts of the province were out of service, optical cables were washed out, and communication infrastructure faced severe tests. In order to ensure the communications in the affected areas, our company sent many rescue teams to participate in the rescue mission.

 

According to the arrangement, at 10 a.m. on July 23, the construction unit of our Zhengzhou office went to the Fortune Plaza computer room to perform emergency repairs. After the rescuers inspected the damage to the computer room, they found that the computer room was located in the basement and the heavy rain caused a deposit of about 2 meters. The water paralyzed the entire machine room. At 12:00 noon, the temporary lighting in the machine room was switched on. After examination, the dc power system of the whole machine room was broken, and the battery pack and switching power cabinet needed to be replaced. Our Zhengzhou office immediately organized personnel to rescue,with 3 construction vehicles and 1 trucks sent to Yukang New City machine room to disassemble and replace the split power cabinet, column head cabinet, batteries, cables and other equipment and accessories.

 

At 8 o'clock that evening, all rescuers from our company arrived at the Fortune Plaza machine room. At this time, there was still water about 20cm deep on the ground; the soaked vehicles blocked the lane and the trucks could not drive into the basement. The rescuers had to move equipment in the water, greatly increased the difficulty of rescue. By 7 o'clock in the morning of the next day, the emergency equipment was powered up. The rescue team stayed at 8 o'clock in the morning to ensure that the power supply was stable and began to evacuate. The repair task of the Fortune Plaza computer room was completed.

 



In this emergency repair operation, China Bester rescue team dismantled and installed Shuangdeng single row four layer batteries 2 groups, 2 battery racks, 1 separate switching power supply, 2 power cabinets, 10 power modules, and DC cables of different specifications of about 200 meters in total within 22 hours; More than 100 meters of cables of different specifications were newly laid and arranged, and 19 copper noses of different specifications were made.

 

At other points of failure, the “flood-resistance and emergency-protection communications” commando team represented by five comrades Jia Shichao, Meng Xianbao, Qin Jianwei, Wang Menghu, and Zhou Zhaofei held on to the front line of the IDC building in Baisha for 96 hours and completed more than 90 sets of network equipment relocation, shelfting and opening tasks.

 

After receiving the notice from China Mobile Hubei Company to assist Henan Mobile, Guangdong Hexin Company, a subsidiary of China Bester, urgently deployed a total of 15 people and 5 vehicles from the Xiaogan and Xianning Project Departments to carry a large amount of rescue materials to help Dengfeng City, Henan Province.They carried the oil truck on the mountain road, walked barefoot on the riverbed to repair the optical cable, and restored the local base station communication.

 



Throughout the rescue process, our rescue team fully carried forward the spirit of not being afraid of hardship and being brave to take responsibility, and assisted the timely recovery of communications in various places.With a high degree of political consciousness and action consciousness, they obeyed the dispatching command, and under extremely harsh conditions, they went all out to devote themselves to various tasks such as emergency rescue in the computer room,reopen of the base station, and the repair of communications line, thus setting up the "lifeline" of network communication for Zhongyuan Earth, and also provided strong support for Henan Mobile to fully restore network communication.

 

After the victory of flood control, disaster relief and communication protection, China Mobile Henan company sent a letter to our company, expressing gratitude for our company's great help at the critical moment, and highly praised our staff's strong dedication, excellent professional skills and pragmatic work style.
